Terms of Service

1. Who we are and this agreement

Mister President is a talking device and an online service run by ThisIsSatire LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By registering a device, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to them.

You must be at least 18 years old to register a device, hold an account, or pay for the service. If you let someone else use your device, you are responsible for their use.

2. Parody, satire and entertainment

Mister President is parody and satire. It is political commentary made for entertainment.

• Everything the device says is generated by artificial intelligence. It is not the speech of any real person.
• It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or speaking for any real person, politician, campaign, party, or government.
• Nothing it says represents the opinions or positions of any real person. It does not represent our opinions either.
• It can be wrong, exaggerated, offensive, or absurd on purpose. Do not rely on it for facts, news, or advice of any kind, including medical, legal, financial, or voting information.

By using the service you confirm you understand it is satire and will not present its output as statements of a real person.

3. Your device and account

• The device needs Wi-Fi and our servers to talk. We provide the service; the device alone does not work without it.
• You register a device with your email address. You confirm by tapping a link we send. Keep access to that email, because it is how you sign in.
• A registered device belongs to your account until you release it at account.misterpresident.dev. If you sell or give the device away, release it first. Nobody else can register it until you do.
• Each device gets one free trial, ever. A released or resold device does not get a new one.

4. Free trial, subscription and payment

• Free trial: each device gets 1 month of service free, starting when you confirm registration. No card is needed to start.
• Price: after the trial, the service costs $7.99 per month per device, plus any applicable tax.
• Automatic renewal: the subscription renews every month until you cancel. If a card is saved on your account when the trial ends, we charge it automatically. If no card is saved, the service stops at the end of the trial.
• Cancelling: cancel any time in Manage billing at account.misterpresident.dev. Service continues to the end of the period you already paid for, then stops.
• No refunds: payments are not refunded, including for partial months, unused time, or a device you stopped using.
• Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, the service stops at the end of the period already paid for. It restarts when a payment succeeds.
• Price changes: we will email you at least 30 days before a price change. It applies from your next billing period; you can cancel before then.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

5. Fair use

The subscription is for normal personal conversation. Every reply costs us money to produce, so use has limits.

• The device may pause for the rest of a day or month when a device reaches its usage limit. It will tell you when this happens.
• We may limit, suspend, or close any account or device whose use is excessive, automated, or out of line with normal personal use. We decide what is excessive.
• If we close an account for excessive use, no refund is due for the current period.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or get around the service's limits or security;
• use the device or its output to harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate anyone;
• present its output as real statements of any real person, or use it to mislead voters;
• use the service for anything illegal.

7. Availability and changes

The service depends on our servers and on outside AI providers. It may be unavailable at times, and we may change, add, or remove features. We may stop the service entirely; if we do, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and stop charging.

We may update these terms. We will email you about material changes before they take effect. Using the service after that means you accept them.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and releasing your device. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, misuse the service, or use it excessively (section 5).

9. Disclaimers and limit of liability

The device and service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for what the AI says or for any decision you make based on it.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity. To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend us and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your presenting the device's output as statements of a real person.

10. Governing law, disputes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.

Individual arbitration. Any dispute about the device, the service or these terms will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court.

No class actions. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or take part in a class action, class arbitration or other representative action. Claims may be brought only individually.

Opting out. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name, email address and a statement that you opt out.

Time limit. Where the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.

Courts. If the arbitration agreement does not apply or is found unenforceable, disputes go only to the state or federal courts in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim proceeds in those courts, not in arbitration.

We collect what the device needs to talk and what billing needs to work. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Your choices

• Release your device and cancel any time at account.misterpresident.dev.
• To delete your account and email address, write to [email protected]. We keep payment records as long as tax law requires.
• The service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, the law may give you rights over your personal information, such as to access or delete it. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond as the law where you live requires, and we may need to confirm the request comes from you.

We may update this policy. We will email you about material changes before they take effect.
